A splendiferous concert, with superb clarinet playing evoking a wide range of Klezmer colors in the Prokofiev (my first chance to hear it live after listening to it on the radio for 50 years) and blending perfectly with the fine strings in the Mozart quintet. The Bolcolm ragtime's perfect pianist gained especially strong and humorous assistance from the cellist and violinist. Even the program notes deserved praise! With a great hall for chamber music and delicious pastries after the music, we enjoyed a highly memorable evening.
